"La fundacion" for childrens is a non-governmental organization that helps more than 53,000 disadvantaged children and adolescents in marginal neighborhoods in the cities of Quito and Guayaquil , offering services and benefits in the areas of health, education, nutrition, the formation of values, and assistance for families. At the moment the Volunteering Program takes place in Quito .

The organization, with the help of volunteers, is able to prepare after class activities with children to improve their learning skills in English language. Volunteers helps reinforce pronunciation, understanding and speaking by preparing games with them. Also volunteers allow to provide better services to children in the health and dental clinics. The organization has 5 community centers in marginalized urban areas of Quito where volunteers help from Monday to Thursday. Each center is located approximately one hour away by urban bus from Quito 's financial center.
